Earth Day Themed Activities for Your Little One
Hi mama!
As I'm sure everyone in your inbox has already reminded you, today is Earth Day. As I scrambled to put together this Earth Day activity book, I took a moment to ask myself a bigger, more daunting question.
What do I want to teach my daughter about the Earth?
It's a big question, but here are some of the lessons I'm hoping to share with Emi:
Earth is full of wonder, mystery, and love.
Earth will be your biggest teacher.
The more connected you are to the Earth, the more connected you'll be to yourself.
The Earth is not ours to take; it's ours to protect.
This planet is smaller than you think but bigger than you can imagine.
It's important to me that my little one feels connected, loved, and nurtured by her surroundings. That's why I focus so much on nature activities. My hope is that she learns to care for and enjoy the world around her.
In the meantime, we’ll be enjoying an Earth Day-themed scavenger hunt.

EAT: I lived in Italy for four years and got an Italian nonna to share her Bolognese recipe. But I don’t like secrets, so I’m passing it on to you. Don’t tell nonna! What I love about this recipe is that it’s fairly easy to prepare, and I can make a lot and use it for other dishes like lasagna or stuffed peppers.

PRINT: I recently started sharing a printable every week in the newsletter. If you missed the past ones, click here to see them. Looking for something in particular? Hit reply and let me know. I’ll do my best to make it happen! 😊
CLEAN: My mom spent four glorious weeks with us during which I didn’t have to worry about cleaning. Now that she is gone, I will be following this therapist-approved cleaning strategy.

Does birth order shape who we are? Thoughts on the “Eldest Daughter Syndrome”.
Why you should have a weekly house meeting with your partner.

SENSORY: If, like me, you are scared of your little ones eating sensory play setups, here are some toxin-free and easy-to-set-up sensory play ideas.
MUSIC: We've already got the “Zoom Zoom song” down, now it's time to master this self-love jam.
LANGUAGE: A lovely reminder that things don’t need to be perfect for them to be beautiful, “ish” is a wonderful book about creativity and uniqueness.
MINDFULNESS: I love morning meditations; it’s a great way for both me and Emi to start our day with a tranquil environment and a positive attitude. Here’s an easy one to share with your little one.
NATURE: Emi loves to stare out the window and listen to the birds that live in the tree outside. We’re on a mission to get them just a bit closer to us with a DIY birdfeeder. Still deciding if we should do a rustic pinecone feeder or a classic teacup feeder.
ART: Keeping in the Earth Day theme, I love these beautiful seed bombs. They are a fun activity, and they could make for a cute gift. I also prepared this activity book with activities and coloring pages.
