Weekly Toddler Activities and Key Practices for Joyful Motherhood
Hi mama!
Motherhood is a journey filled with countless moments of love, learning, and growth. Joyful motherhood is about embracing these moments with an open heart and a positive mindset. It’s about finding happiness in the everyday experiences with our little ones, from their sweet laugh to their curious explorations of the world around them.
However, joyful motherhood is not a mystical state we can achieve through wishful thinking. In my experience, it involves a few key practices:
Being Present: Fully engage in the moments you share with your child. Put away distractions and be mindful of the time you spend together.
Self-Care: Take care of yourself, both physically and mentally. A well-rested and healthy mom can give her best to her child.
Flexibility: Embrace the unpredictability of motherhood. Plans will change, and that's okay. Adapt and go with the flow.
Connection: Build a support network of family, friends, and other moms. Sharing experiences and advice can make the journey easier and more enjoyable.
Gratitude: Focus on the positives and practice gratitude. Celebrate small victories and cherish the special moments.
By incorporating these practices into my daily life, I have been able to cultivate a more joyful and fulfilling motherhood experience.
Let’s make this week a joyful one!

EAT: Didn’t plan a Memorial Day menu? Steal this one.
BEAUTY: Last week, I shared my two-step skincare routine. This week, I'm sharing my makeup routine—just lipstick. You might wonder why even bother, but my grandma always told me never to leave the house without lipstick or earrings, so here we are. Plus, the right lipstick makes me feel confident. To avoid decision fatigue, I stick to my classics: Fenty lip gloss for the day and this red liquid lipstick (that could probably survive a nuclear apocalypse) for an extra boost.
CRAFT: I'm in my embroidery era. I hadn't picked up an embroidery needle in years, but I stumbled upon a cute kit and decided to get back into it. I'm about to finish it, and I'm already looking for my next project. Maybe this one?

SENSORY: Texture play was one of the first sensory activities I introduced to Emi, and twelve months later, she still enjoys exploring new textures! I love this activity because it’s mess-free and easy to set up. You can use things you already have or get one of these cute texture sets.
MUSIC: Honestly, I adore this lady and have learned all her songs. This one is my favorite for working on our greetings.
LANGUAGE: I read three books to Emi before bedtime, and this one is always in the rotation. My mother-in-law picked it out, and it’s the perfect end to our day. I love that it reminds the entire family to be thankful for all the wonderful things around us.
