Stress-Free July 4th Planning
Hi mama,
As we gear up for this week's festivities, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, which can be stressful. But remember, what matters is having fun and creating wonderful memories with your family. Here are a few tips to help make planning less stressful:
Simplify Your Plans: Focus on the essentials and don't overcomplicate your schedule.
Delegate and Ask for Help: Share the load with family and friends to lighten your burden.
Set Up Kid-Friendly Areas: Create spaces where kids can engage with each other and have their fun.
Let’s make this celebration enjoyable and stress-free for everyone.
Have a fantastic week and a joyful celebration!
P.S. If you are traveling with a toddler this week, check out these tips.

EAT: How perfect is this yogurt bark with berries for the Fourth of July? Click here to see the recipe.
READ: As you know, we are spending the summer with family, and this is Mama's time to relax and catch up on her reading list. Last week, I finished A River Enchanted. Loosely based on Scottish folklore, this book has a nice mix of mystery and fantasy.
CRAFT: My mother-in-law has beautiful wind chimes all around the house, and Emi loves to play with them. I found this cute craft project to make our own wind chime when we get back home.

MOVEMENT: Outdoor games like ring toss are perfect for festive days. They are great for the whole family, and we can include our little ones by asking them to help gather the rings or letting them play age-appropriate versions, such as tossing the rings from a shorter distance or sorting them by color.
SENSORY: I know all my Sensory Play mamas are getting ready to set up their red, white, and blue bins. Here’s a bit of inspiration if you're feeling stuck for ideas.

MUSIC: Did someone say Fourth of July dance party? Here’s a Spotify playlist with some fun kiddie jams.
LANGUAGE: Every week, we visit our local library. We keep some books that Emi is really enjoying and pick up new ones for the week.
From last week, we kept Goodnight, Numbers and Linh’s Rooftop Garden.
For this week’s picks, we chose books with realistic images of animals: Big Cats and Backyard Birds.
ART: You can create your own dazzling fireworks display with this fun art project! Using colorful paints and simple materials, your little one can craft their own fireworks to celebrate the festivities.

MINDFULNESS: Daily affirmations are a fantastic way to start your little one’s day with positivity and purpose. By repeating positive statements each morning, you can cultivate a mindset focused on gratitude. Grab my free July affirmation here.
