Creative Play Challenge

Easy Toddlers Activities to enjoy Indoors

Week 3 here we go! Last week, Emi had a blast building forts, and now she requests "a little cave" every time we have storytime, it's just too cute!

We traveled last week, so I wasn’t able to share as many resources in our Facebook group, but I did put together a cute animal mask printable and some scavenger hunts you can check out as well.

Enjoying this Creative Play Challenge? Don’t forget to share your creative play highlights with our Facebook group. See you there, mama!

In joyful motherhood,

Week 3: Creative Play Activities

Dress-Up Play
Old clothes, hats, and accessories = endless fun! Your toddler can become a pirate, their favorite animal, or even an astronaut for the day.

Threading Practice
Hand your toddler some large beads or pasta and let them thread them onto a string. It’s fantastic for fine motor skills!

Sensory Bottle
Fill an empty bottle with colored water, glitter, or beads. Let your toddler shake and explore their DIY discovery toy.

Building with Loose Parts
Gather household items like buttons, wooden spools, or sticks. Your toddler can build, stack, and create to their heart’s content.

Cardboard Sculpture
Give your toddler cardboard, tape, and crayons. Together, create sculptures like animals or towers—whatever their imagination dreams up!

Scarf Dancing
Add a colorful scarf to your dance party! Encourage your toddler to twirl, wave, and toss it as they groove.

Postcard Making
Use paper, stickers, and crayons to create postcards for family or friends. Let your toddler “mail” them in a pretend mailbox or deliver them in person.
