Tips to help you thrive this fall.

Hi mama,

In my mind, fall is here. Plus, I couldn’t wait to share all the cozy ideas I have lined up for this season! 🍂

As much as I love summer, there’s something magical about fall—the crisp air, the changing leaves, and all the fun activities that come with it. Whether you’re apple-picking, cozying up with a good book, or finding ways to keep the little ones engaged while indoors, this season is all about warmth and togetherness.

This email is packed with ideas to help you make the most of this new season with your little one.

Let’s have a joyful fall!

EAT: A few weeks ago I shared with you my meal planning system. However, I did not share with you that when a new season starts, I like to sprinkle a few seasonal dishes into my weekly rotation. With a few veggie changes and some new additions, our menu feels new and exciting again. Here are four dishes I’m looking forward to enjoying during the next few months.

BEAUTY: As the weather cools, my skincare routine gets a little extra love. I’m still faithful to my daily SPF (because yes, you still need it in fall!), but I’m also my beloved almond oil to keep my skin nourished as the air gets drier.

READ: Fall means cozy reading time! 📚 I’m diving into some warm, comforting reads this season. That means more regency-era romances, a bit of dark academia, and plenty of fantasy books. As some of you know, I’m on a book challenge and have 15 books left. Next is Babel by R. F. Kuang, a magic mystery novel with all the right vibes to start the season.

Set yourself up for fall success with these tips and tricks.

🍂 Seasonal Activities: Apple-picking, pumpkin patches, and hayrides are classic activities little ones love. Check out your local farms and orchards for fun, family-friendly fall events.

🏡 Cozy Up Your Space: Create a fall nook in your home with some blankets, pillows, and maybe a pumpkin-scented candle. Perfect for reading, crafting, or just sipping some hot cider.

Rainy Day Plan: We all know fall can bring those rainy days, so have a list of indoor activities ready. Check out our list of favorite fall activities for some inspiration.

🍁 Make the Most of Fall: Fall can fly by, so don’t let it slip away! Make a bucket list and get out there to enjoy the crisp air and colorful leaves. Here’s a peek at our Fall Bucket List.

Here are the activities Emi is looking forward to the most this fall.

MOVEMENT: You KNOW we love scavenger hunts over here. If you’re looking for a fun fall-themed scavenger hunt, click here for a free printable. 🍂 And sure, it is lovely to do this hunt outside but you can also hide these items around the house and have a great time.

SENSORY: There are so many GORGEOUS sensory setups popping up in my feeds and I am determined to set up my game so here are 6 things I’m getting for our fall sensory play.

LANGUAGE: Fall is the perfect time to cozy up with a book. We’re diving into stories about fall, harvests, and woodland animals. I am looking forward to getting into some squirrel stories such as The Busy Little Squirrel—the illustrations are adorable, and squirrels remind us of our dear aunt so it’s extra special.

MINDFULNESS: A new season offers us a great opportunity to slow down and appreciate the beautiful changes around us. As often as I can, I like to sit outside and describe the beauty of nature to my little one. It’s a peaceful way to reflect on the day and enjoy the quiet beauty of each season. If you need a little help coming up with what to say here’s some inspiration.

ART: There are so many cute art ideas out there! It is hard to pick which ones to go with but these two are my favorites so far.

PRACTICAL SKILLS: I love the idea of pumpkin washing for this time of year. You can set up a pumpkin washing station with water, sponges, and small brushes. Your little one can scrub and clean the pumpkins, practicing hand-eye coordination and learning about seasonal produce. You can repeat this activity with other seasonal vegetables and fruits.

p.s. All my free printables are available here.

I naturally gravitate toward simple setups, sometimes using a tray with a beautiful filler is all it takes for a stunning display. I’m obsessed with this fall-themed filler from Simply Sensory Play—every little detail, like the tiny leaves, is just chef’s kiss!
