Winter Indoor Activities

7 Activities to Enjoy With Your Toddler Indoors

In partnership with

Hi mama,

The start of each month is always a time of reflection for me. I like to set goals for the skills Emi and I want to explore together and I get in my feelings about how fast she’s growing. 😭

This time of year also brings chilly weather, which means it’s time to get creative with indoor fun.

But don’t worry mama, I got you!

For the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing simple, engaging indoor activities to keep our little ones entertained and learning as part of our 30-Day Indoor Activity Challenge.
(To download the full calendar, click here.)

ALSO, I’ll be sharing free printable activities in our NEW Facebook group. I already shared a super cute advent calendar, and you won’t want to miss today’s surprise.

Let’s make this December extra special with cozy moments and joyful memories!

In joyful motherhood,
Liz

Week 1: Indoor Activity Challenge

Here we go, winter-themed activities to keep your little one engaged and cozy indoors:

  1. Indoor Snowball Fight
Make snowballs using soft white socks or crumpled paper. Set up a fun and safe snowball fight right in your living room, giggles are guaranteed!

  2. Winter-Themed Sensory Bin
Fill a bin with fake snow (or shredded white paper), small winter animals, and scoops for endless sensory play. Hint: Check out today’s Facebook group freebie for inspiration!

  3. DIY Snowflakes
Cut paper into snowflake shapes together and hang them around the house for festive décor! Add a twist with color-matching games or, for older toddlers, a snowflake shape-matching activity.

  4. Memory Game
A perfect activity for toddlers learning to pair and recall! (Psst… I’ll be sharing a printable memory game in the group!)

  5. Hot Cocoa Station
Set up a mini hot cocoa bar with cinnamon sticks, coconut flakes, sugar-free whipped cream, and cocoa dust. Let your toddler customize their own cozy cup, with supervision, of course!

  6. Winter Storytime
Snuggle up with blankets and read winter classics like Snowmen at Christmas or Little Red Sleigh.

  7. Winter-Themed Puzzles
Puzzle play is perfect for chilly days, Emi loves to work on two-piece puzzles! Keep an eye on the Facebook group, I’ll be sharing printable puzzles later this week.

Ok, you get it… there’s a new Facebook group and I’ll be sharing tons of printables there. But seriously, I am so excited to share all these goodies with you so make sure you join so you don’t miss out.

🐶 MONEY

Veterinary costs up 60% over the past decade

Veterinarians nationwide reported that corporate managers pushed clinics to focus on profit, encouraging them to see more pets, order more tests, and upsell services.

Pet insurance could help you offset some of these rising costs, with some providing up to 90% reimbursement.
