Week 1: Signs of Spring 🌷

These activities will help your toddler observe, explore, and connect with nature as spring unfolds.

🌿 Nature Walk & Collection – Take a walk and gather leaves, flowers, and rocks. Talk about the colors and textures you see in nature. Bonus: Sort your treasures by size or color when you get home!

🌻 Spring Sensory Bin – Fill a bin with dried beans, toy flowers, and small shovels for scooping and pouring. Sensory play is great for little hands and big imaginations!

🐦 Bird Watching & Feeding – Make a simple bird feeder using a toilet paper roll, peanut butter, and birdseed. Hang it outside and watch the birds come for a snack!

🎨 Flower Painting – Dip real flowers into paint and stamp them onto paper for a beautiful (and slightly messy) art project.

🍃 Leaf Rubbings – Collect leaves and use crayons to make leaf rubbings on paper. Talk about different shapes and textures.

🦋 Butterfly Pretend Play – Flap your arms like butterfly wings and “fly” around the house or yard. Turn it into a language opportunity by pretending to visit different “flowers.” You can say things like “let’s visit the yellow flower” or “let’s find the white rose”.

🌱 Sprouting Seeds – Start a seed-growing experiment using a damp paper towel and a plastic bag. Your toddler will love checking on the seeds each day as they sprout!
